The Essentials for Paintball

How to Set a Budget and What to Look For

When you’re just starting out in paintball, the number of things you need to buy can be a little daunting. You have to purchase airsoft guns, CO2 or compressed air tank, safety gear, and clothing – all on top of the cost of entry for most paintball fields. But don’t worry – we’re here to help! We’ll give you an overview of what you need to buy and how to set a budget so that you can get into the game without breaking the bank.

The first thing that you need to do is set a budget. This will determine how much money can be spent on each item and help decide what type of gear is appropriate for your needs as well. The cost of entry will vary from field to field, but typically ranges between $20-$50 per person depending on the day’s events or special deals happening at any given time (i.e., free admission with proof of military ID).

The second thing you’ll want to think about when setting up your budget is where you plan on playing paintball most often – indoors or outdoors? If it’s an indoor facility, then all equipment should be purchased there since they’ll have everything necessary already available without having to bring anything extra along with every time they go play. If you’re going to be playing at an outdoor field, then it’s best if they have their own store where players can purchase equipment as needed (such as CO₂ tanks and paintballs).

The third thing that needs consideration is how much time will be spent on the course each day? This will determine what type of mask would work best for your game style – goggles with full face protection or just goggles alone; a helmet made out of plastic or metal (or both); and whether or not there are any special features like removable lenses so they don’t fog up while playing outdoors.
