Tips and Tricks
When you’re looking for a job in the SEO industry, your portfolio is one of the most important things you can have. It shows potential employers that you are knowledgeable and capable in the field, and it can help you land your dream job. The geek polos will discuss some tips and tricks for writing a portfolio that will impress any employer!
The first thing to do is decide what type of portfolio you want. There are different types: One-page portfolios, which show off just one page from each project; Multi-page portfolios, which include multiple pages for each project; and Case Studies that look at specific examples of work done by someone else. If you’re looking for an SEO job, it’s best not to use any kind of case study because those tend only be used when hiring senior level positions (and they aren’t very helpful anyway).
Once you’ve decided on your format then start thinking about content! Do some research into the company or industry where they’ll hire me first so that I can find out more information than just their name – such as how many employees there are currently working there. That way when I write my portfolio, it’ll be tailored more towards those specific needs which means better results! One thing to keep in mind is that if you’re going for an SEO job then don’t use any kind of case study because those tend only be used when hiring senior level positions (and they aren’t very helpful anyway).
If your goal is writing a portfolio, start researching what others have done and get inspired by their work. For example: Look at some of the best portfolios on Dribbble or Behance – these are websites where designers share their work so anyone can see how professional someone else might look like with similar skills as yours!
